What is FonePIM?
FonePIM enables mobile users to quickly and easily back-up, edit and recover personal phone data. It provides users with an online space to store and retrieve mobile information such as address book, tasks, calendar and notes.
Based on OMA Data Synchronization (SyncML v1.1.2 & v1.2) industry standards, FonePIM is uniquely designed to support millions of users and large volumes of simultaneous over the air syncs with carrier grade performance and scalability.
FonePIM supports all mobile clients with native SyncML, as well as mobile devices that have 3rd party software SyncML clients installed.
NewBay also runs a FonePIM developer program, allowing SyncML developers to test against the FornPIM server.

What is the FonePIM developer program?
The FonePIM developer program is the first developer program uniquely designed for developers to test both SyncML v1.1.2 and v1.2 clients against a SyncML server.
- Server side error logs highlighting where your code is failing
- Full transcripts of each synchronization allowing you to scrutinize your protocol implementation
- Purge functionality that enables you to reset your sync status, so you can repeat a test exactly, pinpointing the impact of your code changes
- A resource centre with access to standards, discussion whitepapers and SyncML links
- A SyncML developer community with FAQs and direct interaction with NewBay developers
- As any developer community the FonePIM developer zone will constantly evolve and provide new features like new tools or message boards
